CUTE 'DOGGIE'
.
Was woken up by a call this morning at about 10.40am. I know I'm such a sleepy head but I have my reasons too. Hehe... Anyway, it was a lady calling to inform me that I'm among the lucky 20 to catch Disturbia! Well, it was an MSN contest which I entered quite some time ago and have also totally forgotten about it. Haha...
.
So armed with a pair of free movie passes, I had to quickly find a companion to go with. It wasn't easy finding that preferred someone especially since it's such a last minute thing but fortunately, it didn't take me long to find him either - my brother. He is just too cute to miss.
.
I know he'll be turning 18 soon but he just sounded so adorable when he told me to treat him to popcorn later. He is such a cute little 'doggie'. Strange as it seems to have siblings call each other 'dog' but it's just so us. Hehe... He and I knows it.

AM I DATING?
.
Roy said it was a date yesterday and because I'm usually a goofy person, it actually took me quite a while to realize that I'm dating. Since he is such a hot and charming guy, it wouldn't be surprising if he could actually sweep a couple of girls off their feet all at the same time. But more importantly, what comes after that is 'the art of falling'. That is, whether to fall with grace or with a thud, just like a fallen jackfruit.
.
I have yet to decide on my style of falling or whether to even jump. Regardless of the style I choose ultimately, having a parachute ready is the utmost importance. It definitely won't be a pleasant sight if I ever suffer from a broken head, neck or even heart ya? Haha!
.
As the captain of my ship, I really have no idea where I'll be steering next. Maybe I'll just leave it to the wind. Good idea?

SUPPER NIGHT
.
Roy and I had supper last night at Kovan. We had Ponggol nasi lemak and trust me, it was so good. The rice was soft and full of fresh coconut milk while the deep fried chicken wings must be their specialty cause it's crispy, juicy and so full of flavor. It's really finger licking good and if only my metabolism was as high as Roy's, I would have ordered another chicken wing. Hehe...
.
Subsequently, we shared 3 boxes of D24 durians under one of the void decks. I'm not sure if it was the nasi lemak or durians that got us high but we definitely got ourselves looking very silly especially when Roy did his version of the yeti on National Geographic while I introduced the coin match. We're just like childhood friends but to come and think of it now, what we did last night was actually quite embarrassing. Haha...
.
Anyway, I better start working out if I'm going to have more supper. Just swam about 11 laps earlier till it started drizzling. I didn't expect the water to be colder in the evening and my lungs and muscles just tighten when I took my first dive. Had always thought the 7am water was nothing. Haha...

SINFULLY DELICIOUS
.
Roy brought me out yesterday in celebration of my successful job hunt. So we met late in the afternoon and enjoyed Haagen-Dazs' Belgium chocolate and raspberry ice-cream. Scoop after scoop but he just couldn't bring himself to savor the raspberry ice-cream. He is so truly, madly, deeply in love with chocolate but I guess the occasional sourish expression does look cute as well. Hee...
.
We caught Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix later in the evening and we had to agree that it wasn't as good as the previous shows. With the lack of action, I guess I'll rate it 3 out of 5 stars. Anyway, I look forward to catching the sneak preview of Knocked Up tomorrow evening. I'll do anything just to get a good laugh.
.
We were cold and hungry by the time the movie ended, and I was fortunate to receive a sumptuous treat at his favorite Outback Steakhouse at Millenia Walk.
.
For starters, we had the Bloomin Onion and trust me, I have never tasted onions done this creatively which was served with their spicy ranch sauce. For the main course, I had the Alice Spring Chicken while he had the Rockhampton Rib-Eye. The chicken breast was gilled to prefection, every bite was juicy and tender, and the cheesy mushroom and honey mustard sauce just leaves your mouth craving for more. Although I don't take beef, I believe it's equally as delicious because he finished his plate clean! By the time we had dessert, we were already almost full to the brim. So we decided to share the Chocolate Thunder From Down Under, which is pecan brownie served with vanilla ice-cream and topped with chocolate sauce, whipped cream and chocolate shavings. Everything was so good but dessert was my favorite because it's just so sinful!
.
It was almost 11pm and with such a heavy dinner, it's amazing that we could still walk and make our way to the bus stop. I had a great time and I hope I didn't burn too big a hole in his pocket. Hee... Arigato gosaimasu!

WEEKEND GETAWAY
.
We had a family weekend getaway at the Raffles the Plaza for my mum's birthday celebration. We took lots of photographs with most of them with sis, had a beautiful view of the fireworks, bubble bath and not forgetting, a nice spread of supper and breakfast.
.
Just 2 days and 1 night is all it takes to leave you rejuvenated and energized, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUMMY! (^-^)V

MAXIMIZING MY HOLIDAY
.
Made a last minute trip to Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh, Penang and Alor Star shortly after my return from Jakarta. My trip to Malaysia has always been more of a food than shopping paradise for me and this time, granny and I joined a tour to visit the other parts of Malaysia.
.
.
Traveling on a bus full of baby boomers and gen-xer was definitely an interesting experience for me. During our road trip, we were entertained with old chinese movies and cantonese songs. Unfortunately, none of the elderly had the guts to sing their hearts out and the tour guide was definitely not a fantastic singer. I am also amazed at my granny's stamina at the age of 71. She could yack for hours to practically anyone on the bus! Even I got tired just chewing gum. Haha...
.
I also attempted cycling at my granny's house. Unfortunately, I failed terribly and crashed onto the ground. Granny thought it was a fallen jack fruit and we burst out laughing even though the bruises hurt. Thankfully, no bones were broken. :P
.
.
Yesterday, my girlfriends and I spent the afternoon at Sentosa playing 'monkey' and frisbee. I never knew frisbee was this easy and fun to play. However, we lacked the stamina and 'died' after merging with Willie and his gang to play a couple of rounds. Darn, we geeks really are geeks... We just follow the wind and run aimlessly. Just look as how fair and flabby we are. I guess the only toned muscles we have are our fingers. Haha...
.
Today, I went swimming at 6.45am while the moon was still high up in the sky. It was definitely refreshing and energizing. Maybe I shall do it again tomorrow. Hee...
