MY NEW 'TOY'... AND I LOVE IT EVEN MORE
.
Recently, I received a mailer in my mailbox from SingPost. Instead of the usual junk mail I always find in my mailbox, this time it's SingPost's Friday Mailbox Surprise! Well, I wasn't sure what it was about but the content sounds too good to be true - FREE instant surprises for the first 200 to present the mailer at Plaza Singapura on 5th August, between 11am to 8pm. Moreover, the gifts are unbelievably wonderful with no minimum purchase - OTO Eye Rejuvenator (EM-180 worth $88), $50 SK Gift Voucher and $200 Expressions Voucher.
.
Like everyone else, my heart has its own preference too which is the OTO Eye Rejuvenator. There is a value that I believe in and that is, "If you're lucky, you're lucky." Therefore, I didn't see the need to wake up extremely early just to queue for something which is more of a luxury than a need. Nevertheless, getting something would still be a bonus. *Winks
.
So this morning I woke up at 9.30am, got dressed and left the house at 10.35am. Ran an errand for Dad before joining the crowd at Plaza Singapura. By the time I got there, it was about 11.15am and the queue was long and I began to wonder if I still stand a chance. When it was my turn, I was already number 171!
.
Together with 5 other people on stage, I chose a box not knowing its content. Will it be what my heart desires? No one knows except for the back stage people. Nervous and excited, I could feel my heart pumping hard. I wished the girl next to me, "Good Luck!" and was about to open the box when the host walked up to me and said, "Hey hey, don't open until I say so."
.
I smiled and soon I could feel all eyes on me.
Host: "So what do you hope to get?"
Me: "Erm... I hope to get the OTO Eye Rejuvenator... Hehehe... "
Host: "So now I'm going to make you open your box first and see if you get what you want."
.
I was speechless as I took the little OTO pamphlet out of the box.
Me: "Hehehe... "
Host: "You are a very very lucky girl... "
.
Well, the host looked just as surprised and the crowd on the floor all smiled at me with some actually wanting to trade their gifts with me. Of course, I politely turned them down and was smiling non-stop as I boarded the bus home with my new 'toy'.
